Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All cases of envenomation (reptile, arthropod, marine creatures) reporting within 24 hours of the event. 2. All cases with a suspicion of envenomation in the absence of evidence or history of envenomation found to have either thermographic or local or systemic evidence of envenomation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. All patients presenting more than 24 hours after bite/sting. 2. Patientâ??s with envenomation treated from outside 3. Pre existing trauma or inflammation around the bite/sting site

MeasureTime frame
1.To identify the regional temperature variation and thermographic pattern in the bite/sting site(venomous bites) at specific time intervals by infrared thermography 2.To compare the local effects of envenomation using direct visualization and thermographic findingsTimepoint: Expecting to recruit 40-50% of cases in the 6 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To seek the possibility of prediction of compartment syndrome, local gangrene or any other secondary effects of envenomation. 2.To study the patterns of local envenomation in various venomations where the culprit species is identified.Timepoint: Expecting to recruitment of 40-50% cases in the 6 months
