Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Surgical patients requiring general anesthesia using Proseal. 2. ASA physical status 1-3

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Obesity, 2. hiatus hernia, 3. pregnancy, 4. full stomach, 5. diabetics, 6. restricted mouth opening

To compare number of attempts taken for correct placement of Proseal using bougie preloaded Proseal as compared to traditional digital insertion technique.Timepoint: 1 min after securing airway

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Assessment of ease of insertion of Proseal, time taken for it, hemodynamic responses during procedure, evidence of trauma as evidenced by blood stained secretions or blood on Proseal while removing at end of the surgery.Timepoint: 1,3,5,10 min after securing airway
