Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: >Subjects who have given informed consent. >Subjects in the age group 25-64 years of both sex. >Subjects with chronic periodontitis having a probing pocket depth of 4-6mm , clinical attachment level of >1mm and gingival index score >1

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: >Pregnant woman and lactating mothers >Subjects with use of tobacco or tobacco related products >Subjects on antibiotics within 3 months prior to study >Subjects on medication likely to induce gingival enlargement Patients having systemic diseases.
