Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Affected infants irrespective of gender, religion and socio-economic status will be included. 2. Infants diagnosed with Ahiputana or Napkin dermatitis observed in perianal region, genitals and on gluteal region will be included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Infants below 1 month and above 1 year of age will be excluded. 2.Infants with napkin dermatitis along with secondary bacterial infections, pustules, and discharge will be excluded. 3.Any health reason of the baby requiring continuous monitoring and medical care will be excluded. 4.Infants having other forms of skin diseases will be excluded.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Shankadi lepa will help in moderate reduction in symptoms of Diaper rash which will be assessed by the scale that contains erythema,papules/pustules,erosion/immersion,desquamation with the gradings from 0-6.Timepoint: 1st day,7th day,15th day,21st day.
