Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Diagnosed case of type 2 diabetes mellitus as per ADA guidelines Both inpatients and out patients of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal after obtaining consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Acute diabetic complications â?? acutely ill Acute Coronary Syndrome within 1 year Hepatic dysfunction (Deranged LFT, USG - Cirrhosis) eGFR other causes of neuropathy â?? vitamin deficiency Use of any medication in the previous 1 month that might influence Uric acid levels (eg:Aspirin, allopurinol, levodopa, thiazide diuretics, furosemide, ethambutol,pyrazinamide, salicylate, niacin or cyclosporine, glucocorticoids, tacrolimus,Xylitol, testosterone)
