Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Individuals who are willing to participate in the study 2) Individuals with bilaterally impacted teeth which falls under same Pell and Gregory classification. 3) Male and female patients of age 18-55 years. 4) Individuals under ASA I

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Reported allergy to any of the products used in the study 2)Individuals with any uncontrolled systemic disease 3)Individuals with severe acute infections 4)Individuals with chronic substance abuse 5)An unwillingness to participate in the study 6)Pregnant or lactating females

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1)To assess the effect of preoperative injection of twin mix as a inferior alveolar nerve block on reducing facial swelling after the surgical removal of impacted mandibular third molars 2)To evaluate the interincisal mouth opening. 3)To assess postoperative pain that will occur following surgery.Timepoint: pre-operatively and 1 hour, 36 hours, 168 hours post operatively

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the latency and duration of â??Twin mixâ?? intraoperatively The need to re-anesthetize the surgical site will also be recorded. Timepoint: Latency measured as the time elapse from full needle withdrawal until the onset of subjective signs of anesthesia will be recorded. The duration of anesthesia (1 hour post -injection) is in turn recorded as the time from initial patient perception of the anesthetic effect to the moment in which the effect began to fade .
