Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: females suffering from carcinoma breast. American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I ââ?¬â??II. Age ranging from 18-80 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal. History of relevant drug allergy. History of psychiatric illness and substance abuse. Patient suffering from severe cardiovascular, respiratory, liver, metabolic or neurological disease. Chronic treatment with analgesics. Pregnant patient. Coagulopathy. Infection at planned injection site. Psychological inability of patient to understand.

MeasureTime frame
Time to first rescue analgesic and Cumulative morphine consumption over 24 hours in patients receiving SAM block with levobupivacaine or ropivacaine . Timepoint: post operative at 30min , 1hr , 4hrs, 8hrs,12hrs and 24hrs
