Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Full term, non-labouring pregnant females ASA physical status II Scheduled for elective CD under spinal anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Refusal of the patient to participate in the study. Any known co-morbidities, such as hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, established presence of arrhythmias. Any known fetal abnormality or fetal distress, multiple gestation, ruptured membranes with meconium stained liquor, growth restricted foetus having chronic asphyxia (previous abnormal non-stress test and biophysical profile Recent use of any vasoactive medication. Any contraindication to spinal anaesthesia.
