Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Group A (Non-obese patients) 1)BMI � 25 kg/m2 (National health portal of India) 2)Generalized chronic periodontitis (�30% sites) patients exhibiting mild clinical attachment loss of 1-2mm 3)Patients exhibiting pocket depth of 4-6mm 4)Age between 40 and 60 years. 5)Patients willing to participate in the study and maintain regular appointments. Group B (Obese patients) 1)BMI � 25kg/m2 (National health portal of India) 2)Generalized chronic periodontitis (�30% sites) patients exhibiting mild clinical attachment loss of 1-2mm 3)Patients exhibiting pocket depth of 4-6mm 4)Age between 40 and 60 years. 5)Patients willing to participate in the study and maintain regular appointments

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)History of oral prophylaxis in past 3 months 2)Patient taking antibiotics. 3)Pregnant and lactating mothers. 4)Patients using any form of tobacco 5)Patients with history of systemic disease.
