Interventions

Intervention1: Kalabastifor 16 days comprising of Erandamooladi Niruha Basti-760ml and Bala Taila Anuvasana Basti-240ml: In Group A patient will undergo Deepana Pachana with Trikatu Churna 3 grams TDS

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients presenting with classical signs and symptoms of Katishoola and Lumbar Spondylosis. 2) Patients within the age group of 18 to 60 years of either sex. 3) Patients who are yogya for Basti Karma.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients below 18 years and above 60 years of age. 2) Diagnosed patients of uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, Chronic diseases like Rheumatoid arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthritis. 3) Patients having spinal tumour, malignant diseases of the pelvis, tuberculosis of vertebral bodies, Intervertebral Disc Prolapse, Congenital Anomalies like Spina Bifida. 4) Patients having Fracture/dislocation, underwent recent lumbar surgery or implanted instrumentation or prostheses 5) Pregnant and Lactating Women, Patient suffering from leucorrhoea. 6) Ayogya for Basti karma.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Relief in signs and symptoms of Katishoola (Lumbar Spondylosis)Timepoint: Every week after the completion of treatment till one month.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1) Basti Samyak or Ayoga or Atiyoga Lakshana 2) Retention time of BastiTimepoint: Every week after the treatment for 1 month.
