Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Chronic kidney disease Stage II- Stage VD. -Hypertension diagnosed at least 6 mo. ago -On stable antihypertensive medication (at least 1 agent with no change for at least 3 months) with reasonably controlled blood pressure levels. -On stable diets and lifestyles and other drug therapy, which were in place before entry to the trial unless advised to do so by a physician

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pre-existing congenital heart disease - Presence of other chronic comorbid medical condition. - Children requiring multiple( >2)antihypertensive multiple times a day.
