Intervention1: Erector spinae block: Erector spinae block is given with the patient in lateral position on the side of the surgery. 0.125% of 0.5ml/kg of bupivacaine is used. Intervention2: Ilioinguin

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a)ASA 1 and 2. b) Unilateral inguinal surgeries c) Informed consent from parents/guardian

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a) History of allergy to local anesthetics b) History of clinically significant cardiac, hepatic, renal or neurological conditions, coagulopathy. c) Local infection at injection sites.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
compare the time of requirement of first rescue analgesic,and assessment of post operative pain using FLACC scale.Timepoint: FLACC scale used for pain assessment in post operative period at 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 hours.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluate postoperative FLACC score.Timepoint: immediate postoperative period and every hourly for 6hours.;evaluate intraoperative and postoperative haemodynamic parameters (Systolic blood pressure,Diastolic blood pressure, Heart rate) Timepoint: vitals- every 3 min for first 15min followed by every 15min for 1 hour during intraoperative period and every 30min for 6hours in postoperative period.
