Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anaesthesiologists physical status 1 & 2 scheduled for hip and thigh surgeries under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Infection at the site of block 2. Coagulopathy 3. Pre-existing neurological disease 4. Allergy to local anaesthetic

MeasureTime frame
To compare ultrasound guided fascia iliaca compartment block and conventional 3 in 1 block for providing post operative analgesia in children undergoing hip and thigh surgeries under general anaesthesia assessed by recording the post operative pain scoresTimepoint: Pain scores assessed at 0,4,8,12 and 24hrs respectively

1. Intraoperative haemodynamic parameters 2. Time to first rescue analgesia 3. Total analgesic requirement in 24hrsTimepoint: Intraoperatively every 10 min the vital parameters will be assessed
