Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA I and ASA II AAD patients undergoing posterior fixation surgery under general anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Syringomyelia Quadriplegia Arnold-Chiari Malformation COPD Muscular dystrophy Morbid obesity (BMI > 35Kg/m2) Peek Expiratory Flow Rate < 40 % (Measured through PFT lab)

Change in Diaphragmatic Excursion following lung recruitment maneuver.Timepoint: 0(after induction of anaesthesia and attaining prone position), 6, 24, 48 Hours

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Prediction of prolong mechanical ventilation on the basis of preoperative and postoperative Diaphragmatic Excursion. 2. Time to extubation 3. Pa02/FiO2 ratio 4. Time to ICU dischargeTimepoint: For Pa02/FiO2 ratio, ABG will be taken serially immediately after induction, at 3 hrs after induction, ICU admission, before putting patient on T-piece and 1 hour after extubation.
