Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Pain around or behind patella 2.pain aggravated by at least one activity that loads patellofemoral joint during weight bearing on a flexed knee(squat,descending stairs,jogging,running,hopping/jumping) 3. crepitus during knee flexion movement 4. Pain on sitting,rising on sitting,or straightening the knee following sitting 5. Anterior knee pain elicited during squatting man oeuvre

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of patellar tendinitis, ligament, meniscal or bony injuries(fractures,dislocations) 2. Referred pain from a lesion of the lumbar spine, hip, ankle 3. Other inflammatory conditions 4. Osteoarthritis based on radio graph.
