Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients clinically diagnosed as having CAD (with or without MI) between 18 to 65 years of age who are willing to participate will be recruited.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who had trauma or major surgery within last 4 weeks, pregnancy, intravenous drug abuse and anemia (Hemoglobin less than 10mg/dL) will be excluded from the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Development of a robust biomarker panel to effectively risk stratify individuals to predict the onset of asymptomatic coronary artery disease and to predict the occurrence of a future MACE in patients with diagnosed CADs. This could lead to stringent prophylactic interventions in susceptible individuals and effectively control the precipitation of a cardiac event.Timepoint: 0 months, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Development of risk stratification cut offs of inflammatory markers in asymptomatic patients without any known history of coronary artery diseaseTimepoint: 12 months
