Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients belonging to ASA physical status I or II and scheduled for elective thoracic/lumbar spine surgery will be enrolled.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who refused to participate, pregnant female, patient with baseline cognitive deficits sufficient to make objective pain assessment unreliable, coagulopathy, liver and renal dysfunction, preoperative neurological deficits and allergy to amide local anaesthetics or opioid will be excluded.
