Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Periodontally healthy. Patients reporting for fixed orthodontic treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with systemic diseases. Presence of local infections or any other dental pain. Use of pain or anxiety medications.

Pain reduction using the Numeric Rating ScaleTimepoint: Patients will be instructed to answer the survey a total of 5 times after separator placement: 0 hours(T0), 4 hours (T1), 12 hours (T2), 24 hours (T3), and, 48 hours (T4) after elastomeric separator placement.
