Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A)Criteria for selection of sample for nurses 1)Gender both male and female. 2)Experience of minimum one year in surgical ward. 3)Willing to participate and give consent. 4)Nurses who can understand and speak English language. B)Criteria for selection of sample for patients 1)Admitted in surgical ward. 2)Undergone first reconstructive surgery for Ca oral cavity. 3)Willing to participate & give consent. 4)Patient who can understand and communicate in Hindi or Marathi or English language.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: A)Criteria for selection of sample for nurses. 1)Relieving nurses who work in place of staff on leave. B)Criteria for selection of sample for patients 1)Patients those admitted other than surgical ward. 2)Surgery has done, surgery in hospital other than TMH, Mumbai. 3)Post operative case

MeasureTime frame
Assess oral care practice by nurses in patients with oral reconstruction surgery for oral cavity cancer.Timepoint: Oral care practice assess on 3rd, 4th and 5th days of post operative surgery.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Assess the incidence of flap viability in patients who have undergone oral reconstructive surgery for oral cavity cancer.Timepoint: Check the flap viability on 7th day after giving the oral care by nurses to the patient.;Find out the association between oral care practice by nurses and incidence of flap viability in patients who have undergone oral reconstructive surgery for oral cavity cancer.Timepoint: Association find out during data analysis.
