Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children diagnosed with Borderline intelligence or Mild to Moderate Intellectual disability on the basis of assessments by NIEPMD, Chennai

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children diagnosed with severe to profound Intellectual disability; with progressive uncontrolled disease of any organ system with deteriorating cardiac, renal, neurological functioning as ascertained clinical or with laboratory investigations and children with malignancies or currently under treatment for malignancies

Change in IQ test score assessed by Binet Kamat test of Intelligence Change in Behavioural Assessment Scales for Indian Children with Mental Retardation (Part â??A and B) (BASIC MR) Change in Vineland Social Maturity Scale (VSMS)Timepoint: Change in IQ test score at start of trial and at interval of 12 months and 24 months. Change in BASIC MR(A and B) and VSMS at start of treatment and subsequently at 3,6,9,12,15,18,21 & 24 month
