Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients posted for surgery under general anaesthesia after three months of radical beck surgery with or without adjuvant therapy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Past history or thyroid disorder with or without medication. 2. History of total thyroidectomy in the past 3. History of panhypopitutarism 4. Age less than 18 years

To find the incidence of hypothyroidism detected during pre operative evaluation for patients posted for operations with history of radical neck dissections with or without adjuvant radiotherapy.Timepoint: Just before operation

MeasureTime frame
Heart rate and blood pressure changes during subsequent surgeryTimepoint: before induction of anaesthesia, 1,3, and 5 minutes after intubation
