Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Both males and females aged 14-30 years were included; - Patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment using 0.022Ã?0.028 metallic MBT bracket system, (ORMCO California USA).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patients who have undergone extraction for orthodontic treatment; - With systemic diseases; - Under medications; - With local infection, periodontal problems, dental pain, or any psychological disorder that might affect the pain threshold level; - With syndromes and genetic problems.
