Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children in the age group of 5 to 15 years 2. Open and closed globe injuries 3. Unilateral traumatic cataract, who had undergone Intra Ocular Lens implantation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children with pre existing ocular pathologies before the trauma 2. Those with pre existing squint and amblyopia.

Amount of distant and near Stereopsis and binocular single vision in children aged 5 -15 years after the IOL implantation in unilateral traumatic cataract presenting to a tertiary eye care hospital in South India.Timepoint: 11 months

MeasureTime frame
1. Return of binocular single vision and stereopsis in terms of seconds of arc following unilateral IOL implantation following trauma. 2. Determination of factors, which leads to loss of binocularity and stereopsis, in a unilateral cataract, following trauma.Timepoint: 11 months
