Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Angle Class II Division 1 malocclusion in the permanent dentition 2. Convex profile giving a positive clinical visual treatment objective(VTO) 3. Subjects in deceleration phase of growth period having CVMI stage 4 and 5 4. No previous orthodontic treatment 5. No systemic disease or craniofacial anomaly

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of trauma to temporomandibular joint 2. Subjects with signs of periodontal disease. 3. Subjects with history of any prior systemic disease or long term medications affecting bone metabolism. 4. Subjects with history of previous orthodontic treatment.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
cephalometric changes in maxilla and mandible postion. changes in temporomandibular joint will be measured on MRITimepoint: changes will be assessed on lateral cephalogram and TMJ- MRI after 6months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
changes in lateral cephalogram and MRI will be assessedTimepoint: changes will be assessed after 12 months
