Inspiratory muscle training will be performed according to the standardized procedure by using Threshold IMT. Treatment will be supervised and participant will be asked to breathe against a load equiv

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants of either gender undergoing open abdominal surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Recent/unhealed rib fracture 2. Cancer: lung/oral 3. Recent Neurological conditions: stroke and head injury 4. Scoliosis 5. Infectious, autoimmune, carcinogenic, genetic or idiopathic, congenital, musculoskeletal or neurological disorder affecting cardio-vascular thoracic system 6. Patients who undergo laproscopic surgery 7. Uncooperative patients.
