Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children up to 12 years of age. Undergoing cardiac surgery using cardiopulmonary bypass.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary aim of the study will be to evaluate the effects of different modes of ventilation on gaseous exchange (PO2, PCO2 and pH), and duration of mechanical ventilation.Timepoint: Post operatively- after putting the patient on ventilatory support 0th min 30th min 60th min 90th min 4th hour 8th hour and so on till extubation

MeasureTime frame
The secondary aim will be to study the changes in the hemodynamic parameters and complications caused by different modes of ventilation. Timepoint: Post operatively- after putting the patient on ventilatory support 0th min 30th min 60th min 90th min 4th hour 8th hour and so on till extubation
