Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Presence of all maxillary permanent teeth except third molars. 2. Moderate crowding (tooth-sizeâ??arch-length discrepancy of 3â??5 mm) in the anterior maxilla with Littleâ??s irregularity index (LII) of 7 mm or more indicating extraction of two first premolars 3. No previous orthodontic treatment 4. No systemic diseases (specifically blood â?? related disorders) 5. Good oral hygiene. 6. No medically compromised condition.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with blood related disorders. 2. Patients with severe tooth displacement (e.g. ectopic canine). 3. Those reporting the use of medications throughout the study
