Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All Exclusively breastfed /Expressed Breast milk Fed Pre-term neonates born at tertiary care hospital

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Hemodynamically unstable 2. Respiratory distress 3. Perinatal asphyxia 4. Not orally accepting 5. Formula fed infants 6. Inborn errors of metabolism 7. Congenitally abnormal 8. Severe Neonatal sepsis

To evaluate the role of prebiotics in prevention of Jaundice Requiring Phototherapy in Preterm Neonates by measuring 24 hourly transcutaneous bilirubin levels Timepoint: 24 hourly for 7 days or till omission of phototherapy (if required)

1. To document Changes in frequency, color & consistency of stools 2. To document the total serum bilirubin levels if Phototherapy is required. 3. To monitor and document Side effects/adverse effects of prebioticsTimepoint: 24 hourly for 7 days or till omission of phototherapy
