Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients with respiratory symptoms suspicious of having pulmonary tb like cough for 2 weeks or more,evening rise of temperature,weight loss,loss of appetite. sputum either not produced or sputum negative for AFB on two samples. chest radiograph showing changes consistent with active TB. age more than 18 years. patients who are willing to go for bronchoscopy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients with uncontrolled asthma. patients with uncontrolled chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. patients with unstable angina. patients already on anti-tubercular treatment. patients not willing to give consent.
