Intervention1: Triphala capsules orally 500 mg twice daily for one month and: 500mg orally twice daily for one month and Triphala mouthwash gargle 6% w/v 10 ml twice daily for one month Control Inter

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with generalized moderate to severe chronic periodontitis, Patients in age group of 30 - 65 years of either sex, Patients with at least 20 natural teeth, Patient ready to give written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Medically compromised patients. Patients on antibiotic or antimicrobial therapy in the past 6 months. Smokers and smokeless tobacco users. Patients who have received periodontal treatment in the past 6 months. Pregnant women and lactating mothers. Patients allergic to any material used in study.
