Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To compare Alveolar to Arterial oxygen pressure gradient (A-a) DO2 between two ventilator strategies (volume controlled versus pressure controlled ventilation) in patients undergoing elective adult liver transplantTimepoint: 1. T0 Pre-induction 2. T1 10 m postintubation 3. T2 application of retractors 4. T3 start of anhepatic phase 5. T4 10m after reperfusion 6. T5 End of surgery 7. T6 Post extubation | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To asess 1. Arterial to End Tidal Carbon Dioxide pressure gradient 2. Peak airway pressure (Paw) 3. Dynamic compliance (Cdyn) 4. P/F ratio. Timepoint: T0 Pre-induction 2. T1 10 m postintubation 3. T2 application of retractors 4. T3 start of anhepatic phase 5. T4 10m after reperfusion 6. T5 End of surgery 7. T6 Post extubation | — |
