Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All ASA I and II patients in age group of 18 years to 60 years undergoing elective Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstruction under subarachnoid block and giving consent for post operative Adductor canal block.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: .Patients belong to ASA III, IV, V. .Patients with any contraindication for regional anaesthesia and infection focus at back or at site of Adductor canal block. .Patients with allergy to the study drugs. .Patients with history of Diabetes Mellitus and Neuropathies. .Patients with liver, renal, cardiac dysrhythmias. .Obese patients with Body Mass Index >35. .Patients with height 180cm. .Patients on any of the following drugs (sedatives, alpha blockers, anticoagulant). .Pregnant females.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
.To determine in each group the total duration of analgesia. .Total rescue analgesic requirement over 24 hours.Timepoint: Time when patient is shifted to recovery following the Adductor canal block, post surgery.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate in each group .Hemodynamic stability. .Side effects, if any. .Patient satisfaction score.Timepoint: time zero will be time when adductor canal block is given then 1hr, 2hrs, 4hrs, 8hrs and 24hrs from the the zero hrs
