Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: BMI < 30 kg/m2 falling in American society of Anaesthesiology ( ASA ) grade 1 and 2 undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Ventilatory settings could not be stabilized within 30 minutes of pneumoperitoneum Surgery converted to laparotomy Improper positioning of proseal laryngeal mask airway despite 2 attempts Duration of surgery > 2 hours
