Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with post traumatic intertrochanteric fractures in adults >18 years in either sex group. Intertrochanteric fractures with subtrochanteric extension. Fractures included in 31A1 and 31A2 AO classification

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pathological intertrochanteric fractures. Compound intertrochanteric fractures. Previously operated intertrochanteric fractures. Mental retardation and incompliant patients. Fractures included in 31A3 AO classification
