Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients of any sex more than 18 years of age admitted for elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy for gall stone disease in surgery ward of Lady Hardinge Medical College.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Any patient who has received antibiotics for any other infectious conditions in last seven days. 2) Patients with immunodeficiency. 3) Cases which are converted to open technique due to any reason.

% of patients with bile spillage who develop SSITimepoint: 7 days and 30 days after surgery

1. % of patients with bile spillage and without bile spillage 2. % of patients without bile spillage who develop SSI Timepoint: 7 days and 30th days postoperative
