Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Lactating mothers who are willing to exclusively breast feed throughout the study period 2. Lactating mothers with infants less than 1 month old 3. Mothers who have consented and are willing to participate in all aspects of the study. 4. Infants with normal birth weight more than or equal to 2.5kg
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Mothers taking medications that affect vitamin D metabolism ( steroid, anticonvulsants) 2.Mothers who are not exclusively breastfeeding 3.Mothers who are nursing multiple infants 4. Mothers giving birth to preterm 5.Infants on Vitamin D supplementations
