Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All hospitalized patients with acute exacerbation of COPD presenting to Emergency department of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar those who are willing to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria : 1. Previous history of thromboembolic disease 2. Hypersensitivity to intravenous contrast material 3. Chronic kidney disease 4. Pneumothorax 5. Pneumonia 6. Congestive heart failure 7. Receiving anticoagulant treatment 8. Requiring invasive mechanical ventilation 9. Requiring non-invasive mechanical ventilation for more than 24hours.
