Intervention1: Trinpanchmool Kwath: 50 ml twice a day for 45 days duration Control Intervention1: Tab Chlorthalidone: 12.5mg once a day for 45 days duration

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Patient willing for trial 2 Patients in age group between 20 to 70 years 3 Patient suffering from stage 1 hypertension 4 Patients suffering from isolated systolic hypertension

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patient not willing for the trial 2 Patient 70 years of age 3 Stage II hypertension 4 Patient suffering from secondary hypertension 5 Any other patients considered unfit for the inclusion in trial after investigation 6 Patient who had participated in any clinical study/ trial in past 6 months
