Intervention1: Homoeopathic Medicine: Individualised Homoeopathic Medicine as per the Principles of Homoeopathy. potency will be selected from 30C to 50M, medicine will be administered orally Duration

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient presenting with symptoms of depression for at least 2 weeks duration and screened according to diagnostic criteria of ICD-10 Age between 18- 60 years of both sexes

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Depression due to substance abuse Cases diagnosed with life threatening disease -for which medicine being used Currently receiving treatment with antidepressant Subjects who are pregnant or lactating Surgical emergencies. Depression due to hypothyroidism and other organic causes BPAD cases with manic, hypomanic and mixed states
