Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ASA Gr. I and II Patients posted for umbilical hernia repair, inguinal hernioplasty, hip and lower limb orthopaedic surgeries, endoscopic urological surgery, caesarian section,Lower abdominal gynecological procedures, all other surgical procedures which require surgical anaesthesia at and below T6 dermatomical level.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. ASA grade III and onwards 2. Patients with absolute contraindication for spinal anaesthesia- coagulation disorders, injection at the site of injection, haemodynamically unstable patient, patients with space accupying cranial lesion 3. Patients with symptoms of sensory neuropathy of any etiology- diabetic, isolated peripheral neuropathy, autonomic neauropathy 4. Patients who are unable to understand and document any sensations 5. Uncooperative patients
