Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: .Patient posted for elective surgery under spinal/regional anaesthesia .AGE- 18 to 65 years .ASA 1 TO 3

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: .Type-1 diabetes and diabetics on OHA .Refusal to participate in the study .Nonelective or emergent surgery .ASA 4 and 5 .Pregnancy .Undergoing gastrointestinal, cardiac , neurological surgeries and paediatric surgery Presence of infection
