Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA Grade 1 and 2 patients. Patients of both sexes. Age between 25 years to 75 years. Patients suffering from chronic non specific low back pain for at least 3 months of duration.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pain radiating to the limbs(sciatica). Patients having active mental dysfunction/neurological abnormalities or cognitive deficiency. History of Allergy to local anaesthetic agent. Patients with Coagulapathies or prolonged bleeding time. Morbid Obesity. Ongoing Septiceamia as demonstrated by elevated WBCs or infection overlying the area. History of drug abuse,previous lumbar spine surgery,pregnancy. History of psychiatric problems,rheumatological disease,fibromyalgia.

TO co-relate duration and degree of pain relief after controlled medial branch blocks with different grades of modic changes in lumbar spine in patients of chronic nonspecific low back pain.Timepoint: 1 year
