Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with constricted maxillary arch With or without unilateral or bilateral posterior cross bite

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with Hypodontia History of extraction History of previous orthodontic treatment Congenital craniofacial syndromes affecting the craniofacial growth like cleft lip and palate Disorders affecting bone metabolism

MeasureTime frame
SKELETAL PARAMETERS: Transverse expansion at sutural level, alveolar process level, Lateral nasal width, Nasal floor width, Hard palate width, Alveolar bone Inclination, Alveolar bone dehiscence. DENTAL PARAMETERS: Transverse expansion, Tooth angulation, Vertical dental height. AIRWAY PARAMETERS: Retropalatal airway volume, retroglossal airway volume, Total airway volume. These are measured from the CBCT scanned images taken prior to the intervention Timepoint: To be measured from the CBCT scanned images taken prior to the intervention.
