Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of age - 15 years and above. 2. Patients with Isolated blunt chest trauma requiring closed tube thoracostomy.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Penetrating chest injuries. 2. Associated injuries requiring antibiotic administration. 3. Patient requiring ventilator support. 4. Known pulmonary disease/ Immuno-compromised patients. 5. Patient with chest trauma requiring open thoracotomy. 6. Those already on antibiotics for some other injuries/illness. 7. Patients who will not give consent.
