Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Both males and females fulfilling definition criteria of chronic diarrhea i.e. three or more loose or watery stools daily lasting for four or more weeks 2) All participants accepting the provided written informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Previous abdominal surgery except appendectomy, caesarean section, tubal ligation, abdominal wall hernia repair or laparoscopic cholecystectomy; 2) Current use of medications that may alter gastrointestinal motility; 3) Over-the-counter medication use (other than those specifically screened by the investigator) within 3 days of transit studies; 4) Immuno deficient patients (including HIV positive) 5) Antibiotic use within 2 weeks prior to the 2-week run-in period; 6) Non consenting patients
