Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient of either gender and age:1-17 years. 2. Patient with primary diagnosis for epilepsy {International Classification of Diseases, Ninth and Tenth Revisions (ICD-9 and ICD-10) codes}. 3. Patient with epilepsy with at least one prescription of an AED during the specified time period.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pediatric patient of age less than 12 months and more than 17 years. 2. Parents not willing to give written consent. 3. Patients with status epilepticus. 4. Seizures associated with paralytic stroke, trauma, malignancy. 5. Patients with uncertain diagnosis. 6. Children having pathological liver disease and renal disorder.
