Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Both the genders. 2 Subjects with age ranging from 20-65 years. 3 Subjects having acceptable systemic health. 4 Absence of overt clinical inflammation at the time of surgery. 5 Patient signing written informed consent. 6 Subjects indicated for crown lengthening procedure by apically repositioned flap for following reasons Clinical crown height loss due to subgingival carious destruction. Fracture and wear, Gummy smile, Uneven gingival contours Short teeth and access to perforations in coronal third of the root.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Medically compromised patients. 2 Subjects who are smokers and consume tobacco in any form. 3 Subjects on drug that may influence gingival overgrowth. 4 Patient having residual pockets >= 5 mm on the teeth indicated for crown lengthening procedure. 5 Absence of two or more teeth on either side of the tooth selected for crown lengthening procedure. 6 Subjects with Millerâ??s grade I, grade II or grade III mobility of teeth. 7 Pregnant and lactating women. 8 Subjects with furcation involvement. 9 Subject with reverse crown to root ratio.
