Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: infants born with unilateral or bilateral cleft lip and palate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: syndromic cleft lip and palate systemic illness

MeasureTime frame
-The successful execution of this study will highlight the changes brought about by the nasoalveolar molding on the orofacial morphology of the infants with cleft lip and palate. - outline the psychosocial changes brought about by this technique on the parents. - Establishment of nasoalveolar molding as a beneficial and essential element of protocol for the management of newborns with cleft lip and palate prior to primary repair of lip.Timepoint: pre and post NAM treatment

The data generated from this study can highlight the benefits of practising naso alveolar molding as a part of cleft mangement protocol. This will help in early improvement in esthetics and lesser need for revision surgeries it will create better awareness and sensitization of parents for management of any such infant.This will further help in reduction of social stigma associated with children born with such a congenital deformity.Timepoint: 3 to 5 year post surgical follow up
