Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Need for external nutrition without contraindication for placement of naso or oroenteral tube Initiation of enteral feeding within 48 hr of admission Duration of icu stay > 48 hrs

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Severe coagulopathy Patient with medical indication for post pyloric nutrition Gastrostomy or jejunostomy Contraindication of enteral nutrition Pregnancy
