Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Paediatric patients between 7-15 years of age belonging to ASA physical status 1 or 2 posted for elective surgery under general anaesthesia. 2. Patients having IV cannula inserted within 24- 48 hours prior to surgery with no pain on flushing it with saline

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient not giving assent/consent. 2. Patient with egg allergy. 3. Patient who are inconsolable after 5 minutes of giving premedications. 4. Haemodynamically unstable patients. 5. Local bruising or redness of skin.

To assess pain score using 4 point categorical scoring system after giving intravenous Propofol with varying size of cannula in children undergoing surgery.Timepoint: From the start of giving propofol injection till the loss of verbal response of the patient.
